GHP Faculty Members attend the 2023 M8 Alliance & World Health Summit!
On behalf of the College of Public Health (CPH), National Taiwan University (NTU), Prof. Kun-Hsien Tsai, the director of the Global Health Program (GHP), and Prof. Chang-Chuan Chan, the faculty member of GHP, attend the 2023 M8 Alliance & World Health Summit.
The "M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies" is the academic foundation of the World Health Summit. This unique network currently consists of 31 members worldwide, including the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), which represents the national academies of medicine and science in more than 100 countries. National Taiwan University is also one of the 31 members, and the Global Health Program represents the NTU CPH to attend the World Health Summit this year.
The World Health Summit is a unique international strategic forum for global health. Held annually in Berlin, it brings together stakeholders from politics, science, the private sector, and civil society from around the world to set the agenda for a healthier future by inspiring innovative solutions for better health and well-being for all.
The World Health Summit 2023 under the theme "A Defining Year for Global Health Action" took place from October 15-17 in Berlin, Germany and online. The topics included climate change and health, pandemic prevention, digital technologies, the role of the G7 and G20 in global health, and 75 years of WHO.
