Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to introduce concepts of study design, literature review, data collection and analysis, and evidence synthesis commonly used in public health and related social research, with a strong focus on their application to global health study. At the end of the course the students are expected to:
1. (DGH-2)Scrutinize and apply qualitative and quantitative methods to provide evidence-based solutions to global health problems considering cultural safety and diversity
2. (DGH-3)Design, implement, and evaluate theory-informed and evidence-based research programs in an academia or practice setting
Course Requirements:
1. Students are assumed to have taken introductory level biostats and epi
2. Active participations in the discussion and presentation of reading tasks are requirements for all students.
