Empowering overseas Filipino workers in Taiwan to combat misinformation
To combat misinformation among Filipino communities in Taiwan, the Taiwan Fact-Check Center collaborated with Vera Files, the IFCN-certified fact-checker in the Philippines. The project in Taiwan is currently spearheaded by Yang-Shen An (Isaiah Christian Antonio), a recent graduate of Masters of Science in Global Health from National Taiwan University.
With the looming COVID- 19 pandemic and the upcoming Philippine national elections. The project aims to help Filipinos discern truth from disinformation.
