1. What makes you choose NTU GHP to study?
I chose NTU because of its unique position geographically, being a subtropical island and all. In my research, I study tropical diseases, so this was the perfect place to study this while seeing how the disease(s) can affect people firsthand. I also chose to study at NTU because I am Taiwanese-American, so I wanted to learn more about my cultural heritage!
2. Would you recommend your friend to study at NTU GHP? Why?
I would! If someone is truly interested in Global Health, it makes sense to study it outside of their home countries to really gain that 'global' perspective. I think the GHP program caters to that pretty well, especially since our classmates also might come from different countries or even different backgrounds if we're from the US.
3. How does study in NTU GHP help shape your future?
This program has allowed me to explore different avenues and different career fields. My future is still uncertain, but professors within the GHP have been super helpful in guiding me through how to reach my career goals and it's been super helpful to have professors that care about us not only academically but also our personal well-being.
